This guide assumes that the RTK Profile, Working Style and GS connections are already configured.
- Turn on the CS20 controller and GS antenna
- 30 seconds after startup
- Check that the GS antenna is connected (no ! warning sign visible)
- Confirm satellites are being tracked (a number under the satellite icon)
- Check that the rover is online (cellphone icon, no ! warning sign)
- Check the mount point is correct
- Tap the cellphone icon
- Tap Server/mountpoint
- Check the NTRIP mountpoint is your closest available.
- Tap OK (F1)
Create a job
- From the main menu, press Jobs (F6)
- Tap New (F2)

Give the job a name

Choose Storage location (Note if stored to SD card, job will not be visible on carousel when SD card removed)

Choose to capture image to display in Home screen

- Tap Page (F6)
- Choose your local coordinate system, which may include a geoid model for heights
- Tap Page (F6)
- Choose your codelist
- Tap Store (F1)
- Tap OK (F1)
- Tap New (F2)

If you have data to load into the job, insert a USB in the base of the controller with a CSV file in the Data folder

In this QRG we will use a text file (Point, N, E, H, Code with or without a header line)

- Tap on the job in the carousel
- Import Data – ASCII/GSI

Import – ASCII Data

From – USB

From file – pick your CSV file

To Job – Pick your job

Display (F3) to review the file content
- Close "X" to close the viewer

Fn – Settings (F1) to define the order of the data in the file

OK to save the changes

- Tap on the job in the carousel
- View and edit data
- Confirm the points have imported OK
- View and edit data
Start a Survey
- Tap the cellphone icon
- Tap Start RTK Stream
- After a few seconds, the 2D and 1D Quality values will reduce to 0.02-0.03. The rover is now initialised
- GS18T ONLY…After a few more seconds with the pole moving, the position ‘cross hair’ icon will change to a green 3D bubble icon, showing that the GS18T tilt pole has also initialised
- Tap on the Measure app
- Enter a Point ID
- Enter the antenna height (1.8 or 2m on snap lock pole)
- Tap Page (F6)
- Tap Find and add codes
- Enter a code for the point you are measuring (if required)
- When ready to measure, press Measure (F1)
- The point will be stored
- Repeat step 3 for each surveyed point
If the code is for a stringable feature (eg Top of Bank) a default string number will be present. Tap + or – to change string number to create a new string
Export ASCII data
- Insert a USB into the base of the controller
- From the main menu, Tap on the job in the carousel
- Export data – ASCII
- To device – USB
- To folder – Data
- Output filename – enter as required
- Fn Settings
- Select the delimeter, what to export and the order of export
- Tap OK (F1)
- Tap OK (F1)
Export DXF data
- Insert a USB into the base of the controller
- From the main menu, tap on the job in the carousel
- Export data – DXF
- To device – USB
- To folder – Data
- Output filename – enter as required
- Fn Settings
- Check the 3 pages of settings match your requirement
- Tap OK (F1)
- Tap OK
